Sensei Jim Bolton

My interest in the Martial Arts began when I was 12 years old and growing up I took classes sporadically
during my teenage years. Following high school graduation I joined the Army.

While stationed overseas in Okinawa, Japan I had the chance to study Tae Kwon Do and Akido.

Now retired because of my health, I only seriously began studying the Martial Arts nearly 8 years ago. I

earned my Black Belt in 2012 under Soke Dr. J. David Griffith in the Iron Dragon Martial Arts system - a

combination of Okinawan Kenpo, Tae Kwon Do, Judo, Pressure Point Techniques, Tai Chi, Muay Thai, Kickboxing,

and Jiu Jitsu.

I am a member of the Eastern USA International Martial Arts Association's Black Belt Hall of Fame and was

inducted in 2013 as its Black Belt of the Year.
