Sensei Jim Bolton
|My interest in the Martial Arts began when I was 12
years old and growing up I took classes sporadically
during my teenage years. Following high school graduation I joined the Army.
While stationed overseas in Okinawa, Japan I had the chance to study Tae Kwon Do and Akido.
Now retired because of my health, I only seriously began studying the Martial Arts nearly 8 years ago. I
earned my Black Belt in 2012 under Soke Dr. J. David Griffith in the Iron Dragon Martial Arts system - a
combination of Okinawan Kenpo, Tae Kwon Do, Judo, Pressure Point Techniques, Tai Chi, Muay Thai, Kickboxing,
and Jiu Jitsu.
I am a member of the Eastern USA International Martial Arts Association's Black Belt Hall of Fame and was
inducted in 2013 as its Black Belt of the Year.
